4oD is a downloadable application, built using HTML and Flash, inside an Internet Explorer wrapper.
I created the Flash elements of the interface, which showed clips of upcoming shows and was updatable via XML.
Server side and application development was handled by a different company so I had to be responsible for integrating my work into theirs.
This project won Best of the show and the entertainment category at the BIMA's.

CDX is an interactive drama that provides an eerie and engaging online experience. It ties into BBC's Rome: Rise & Fall of an Empire TV show.
This was my first project at Preloaded.
My role as lead developer on this project, was the create the underlying code for the other two developers in the team to plug into. This included all the Flash Media Server interaction, XML subtitles engine and assist in their migration from Actionscript 1 to Actionscript 2 and to make three of the four mini games.
I also wrote part of the article for .NET magazine.
This project won several awards, such as a Flash Forward award and been nominated for a BAFTA and a D&AD award.

As lead developer I was responsible for all of the Flash elements on this site, and built a simple Flash framework, which enabled new Flash modules of the site to be built quickly.
The site is also translated into three other languages, so all content needed to be in XML files.

This site, built in Flash, relied heavily on user generated content.
Users would need to be able to login, edit information on their campaign and add new ideas to the map.
As lead developer I had to write function specs and briefs to define how the server side interaction would work.
This was all handled by sending and receiving XML generated from a MYSQL database using PHP.

I was lead developer on this large, multilingual site and was able to use the skills I learnt on the Levi's Europe website to aid in development, which included XML integration into multilingual sites.
As the site was so large, we required a freelance Flash developer to help us, so my first task was to write briefs for him and the server side developer, so that integration would be simple.
My next task would be to developer the core functionality of the Flash site, and to write a variety of API's that the other developer could use.

This is a simple microsite, all text is loaded in from an XML document, so that it is easy to updated, and if necessary translated.
There is also some simple server interaction, and bar chart functionality.
